SODC Deep Cleanse department will be coming to Nettlebed for three days from 19-21 March, they will be litter picking, sweeping and removing weeds/moss on pavements. Residents have been invited to advise the Parish Council of areas that require cleaning.

Thames Valley Police: Budget and Council Tax Consultation 2019/20 Survey – there is one week until the survey on the proposed increase to Council Tax closes. Residents are invited to complete the survey and have their say. The survey can be found at  The closing date is Weds, 9th Jan.

Oxfordshire County Council Highways have been in touch with the Parish Council to say that they are very aware that the A4130 is in a poor condition and that scheduled repair works have been delayed a couple of times. In late January, remedial work will be done as an interim measure to keep everyone safe and minimise further damage – this will NOT be the finished job! (the full repairs will be done in early Spring).

Early present for road users

To keep things moving Oxfordshire County Council is introducing an embargo on all non-essential roadworks on the major routes in and out of the larger commercial centres so that Christmas traffic – be it cars, cycles, pedestrians or public transport – can flow more easily at this peak time. The embargo runs from 10 December to 07 January 2019.
